Like no health problems and such. Wouldn't you want to give you kid the best chance? Adoption is really cool because you're taking a child that no one else wants, but at the same time, the child likely is underdeveloped. (care is not necessarily taken during pregnancy, and usually babies don't get enough affection while they're living in an ophanage.) ...as in the generation of kids that is younger than me, the ones who were born typing, and thus relied on spellcheck. but what if the random people had better stats than you?
