I loooooove commercials. Even though I use Tivo to watch everything, I always rewind to watch commercials that look interesting. Tell a story in 30 seconds. If the story sucks, it’s over quickly. Really good commercials are tight little reflections of our culture & society.
I finally finished watching all the superbowl ads on Yahoo Video (best user experience for watching, despite ads inside ads, imo). Yes I watched every single commercial, and I don’t know who even played in the SuperBowl.

Coca cola bugs wins for most impressive cg. It is beautifully done.
I also wanted to note the Audi commercial . It was the most interesting car commercial, and it did a fabulous job of representing several generations of action films.

On an unrelated note, I found out my credit card was fraudulently used to buy $50 worth of buffalo wings. *sigh*
YESSS. the conan ad completely stole the show (although the alec baldwin hulu ad was pretty impressive as well, suprising he found time to do that in between his busy schedule of yelling at his kid and 30 rock).
on another note however, if i see one more godaddy.com commercial that is not only poorly filmed but features horrible actors im going to flip.
I liked the one where everyone says “I’m good!” after nearly getting killed. But I don’t remember what product it was for, so it must not have been the most effective ad.
@Jimmy agreed! Conan was brilliant. The godaddy ones win for absolute worst commercials.
@Alfonso I liked that one too! Although, you’re right. I’m not sure what it was advertising either. Maybe vitamins?
