Words cannot properly describe the warm tingle in my heart, the sting in my eyes, the delicious ache of my frozen smile.  Never before had I had such pride in my country.  Welcome, President Barack Obama.

Today is a new day. A wonderful, though bittersweet, day. Change is here.
The battle for gay rights continues. It’s not over yet, and I will not lose hope.
